& Breakfast. E.T.C.recognised 4 Star plus Gold Award . We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors . Access from road
is via a sloping path with two low steps . A ramp can be provided to negotiate steps .Suitable for partially disabled access
Pre-Arrival
• Check In on day of arrival between 5.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m.
• Keys provided upon arrival.
• Local railway station is Stonegate (6 miles away) No public transport
from there to Heathfield . Pre arranged taxi only .
• If required we will supply details of local taxi firms .

Local Bus services to neighbouring towns . Nearest bus stop 6 minute walk from Iwood.
• Iwood situated within 10
minute walk from Heathfield town .

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• Check In on day of arrival between 5.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. when keys will be provided for guests
to come and go as they please . Limited off road parking available , general parking in quiet cul-de-sac immediately outside
Iwood garden . Garage parking available for motor cycles and bicycles .
. We can assist guests with luggage .
Main Entrance & Reception
• Most accessible entrance through gate in hedge . Down one low step onto slightly sloping (down)
footpath to front door where one step into hallway . Ramps can be provided . Not recommended for fully disabled .
. Upon arrival/check In you are provided with
keys to come and go as you please .
. The front door is wide enough to accept wheelchairs

Public Areas - General (Internal)
• One bedroom suite on ground floor which is suitable for partially disabled . Carpetted flooring
. All other accommodation is on first floor . Stairway to first floor has hand rails on both sides .
. Breakfast Rooms and Sitting Room are all on
ground floor and access is by carpetted corridor.
. The stairway has 16 steps to first floor (first
three steps on a bend) with handrails on both sides .
Public Areas - WC

Bedrooms on first floor are all ensuite and Suite on ground floor has a Private Shower/Toilet . No public WC available

Take Away & Cafe
• Breakfast is served in the breakfast rooms on the ground floor . Extensive menu which
includes home made yoghurts and preserves . Additional fruit dishes are also on offer .
. Furniture is flexible and can be moved on

laundry needs at extra cost

There is a small Library in the Sitting Room for guests to borrow books whilst staying with us

• Downstairs suite with Twin beds suitable for partially disabled wheelchair users . All
non smoking and No pets allowed . All bedrooms have remote controlled televisions plus videos or DVDs and tea/coffee
making facilities .

• All have Non slip wood flooring. Support
rails in bath/shower .
. Ground floor private bathroom has a walk-in
shower with hand rail .
Walk-In showers are available
in first floor Single Ensuite and Double Ensuite rooms . Deluxe Double Ensuite
has a full size bath with shower .
Grounds and Gardens
. We have a secluded well maintained garden
surrounded by hedges and seating areas for guests

Additional Information

There are some interesting walks nearby either via country lane or woodland walks . Heathfield town center can be reached
via quiet footpath and approx.6 minute walk away where there is a good selection of eateries . Nearest Pub is a 15 minute
walk away .
. Mobile phone reception is generally o.k.
In case of fire/emergency we
are able to use front/back and patio doors to evacuate building .
Additional emergency exit via balcony on first
floor.
There are smoke alarms in each bedroom as
well as in public areas .
If the alarm sounds then evacuation is recommended .
. A fire extinguisher and fire smothering blanket is held by proprietor who can be reached by ringing bell in hallway immediately opposite stairway .
. This is a non-smoking building
but smoking is permitted in garden or in summer house located in the front garden across lawn . Ash trays
are provided
